Name: Muriel Leisle

Passed away: August 9, 2007
Leisle, Muriel Edna passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at her residence at the age of 82 years. Muriel was born on January 25, 1925 and was the daughter of James & Mary Wilson of Morse, Sask. She grew up on the family farm south of Morse, and attended the Wildflower School. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Fred, June 2002; her son, Keith Leisle, 1957; her parents, Jim & Mary Wilson; three brothers, Bill, Earl, and Cecil, all of Morse, SK; two sisters, Florence Blondin, San Francisco, USA, and Margaret Deobald, Moose Jaw, SK; sisters-in-law, Betty Wilson and Connie Wilson, both of Morse, SK; brothers-in-law, Ray Blondin, San Francisco, USA, Ted Roh, and Leo Deobald, both of Moose Jaw, SK; and by a nephew, Terry Roh, Moose Jaw, SK. She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Wayne (Denise) Leisle, Morse, SK with grandsons, Stephen, Jarred and Matthew: Allan (Elsa) Leisle, Saskatoon, SK with grandson, Justin; a brother, Harry Wilson, Morse, SK; two sisters, Ellen Roh, Moose Jaw, SK and Agnes (Walter) Leisle, Morse, SK; sisters-in-law, Lena Wilson, Herbert, SK and Shirley McConnachie, Swift Current, SK; and numerous nieces and nephews. Muriel married Fred Leisle on November 12, 1944 and moved to their farm, south of Morse. They had three sons, Keith, Wayne and Allan. Muriel was a warm and friendly person, she enjoyed the farm and took part in community events. She loved her husband and family dearly. She took pride in her home and beautiful flowers and garden. In 1990, Muriel and Fred retired to Swift Current. Muriel’s home was always open to family and friends for a cup of coffee, a supper or a friendly game of cards. God bless our memory of Muriel - devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In our home she will be fondly remembered. Sweet memories will cling to her name. Those who loved her in life, sincerely still love her in death just the same. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. from the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Rick Laurendeau officiating. The pianist for the service was Arlene Olsen with special music brought by Katherine Scott & Joyce Olesen singing, “Beyond the Sunset”. The ushers in the church were Earl Leisle and Barry Leisle. “Lord Take My Hand and Lead Me”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Amazing Grace” were sung by the congregation. Honorary pallbearers were “All those who loved Muriel and shared in her life”. The Interment was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Justin Leisle, Jarred Leisle, Stephen Leisle, Mark Wilson, Matthew Leisle and Garry Spate. For those wishing, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.
