Frank Haubrich, age 90, of Swift Current, and formerly a farmer and teacher from Hodgeville, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. Frank was born on September 13, 1917, in Hodgeville, SK to Jacob & Apollonia Haubrich. Frank is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Cummings); his children, Sheila Haubrich (Ernie Pihlstrom), Saskatoon, SK, Donna (Sherman) Dahl, Vernon, BC, Sylvia LeBoldus (Larry), Regina, SK, Russell Haubrich (Shella), Vernon, BC, Roger (Meredith) Haubrich, Sydney, Australia, Vernon (Elizabeth “Liz”) Haubrich, Hodgeville, SK; eighteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and by a brother, Rudolph (Elsie) Haubrich, Shaunavon, SK. The Funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 2:00 pm from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Hodgeville, SK with celebrant Fr. John Foley. The organist for the service was Deb Waldenberger. “All That I Am”, “Amazing Grace”, “How Great Thou Art” and “Old Rugged Cross” were sung by the congregation. A tribute was shared by Russell Haubrich. Ushers in the church were Harold Haubrich and Harold Ebel. The Interment was held at the St. Mathias Cemetery, Hodgeville, SK. For those wishing, donations to the St. Joseph’s Memorial Fund or to the Charity of the Donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were in care of Swift Current Funeral Home, Swift current, SK.
