James (Jim) Roemer, 1908 - 2008. Jim Roemer of Herbert, SK, passed away on January 5, 2008 at the age of 99 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Wencel Roemer and 5 siblings; Frank, John, Joe, Mary (Roemer) Kunzie and Sophie Roemer.
Jim is survived by his sister Annie of Medicine Hat, AB and several nieces and nephews.
Jim, a veteran in World War II, served as a gunner on a troop ship.
A Service of Remembrance was held on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Herbert Heritage Manor. The Interment Service will be held at the Herbert Roman Catholic Cemetery.
