Amanda passed away peacefully in Chilliwack General Hospital, Chilliwack, BC, on Monday, January 28, 2008.

Amanda was born on March 5, 1987, on her Oma’s birthday, at Abbotsford, BC. She is the only child of Henry & Lorna Janzen.

Amanda leaves to treasure her memory her parents, Henry & Lorna Janzen of Chilliwack, BC; her grandfather, John Knelsen of Rochester, AB; her grandparents, Peter & Emmy Janzen of Penticton, BC; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Betty Knelsen.

Amanda and her parents lived in Swift Current, SK for three years. She finished her high school years there and graduated from the Swift Current Comprehensive High School in June of 2005. She still has many friends in Swift Current.

Amanda always had a smile on her face, in spite of having battled cancer since the age of 15. In the last year, December 2006 to August 2007, she had three surgeries and treatments, but still she was always upbeat through it all. She loved cars and bikes. Amanda and her dad attended as many shows, races and drifting events that they could in the last two years that they were back in BC. She also enjoyed snowboarding.

The Interment Service was held in Hope, BC on Saturday, February 2, 2008 and a Memorial Service was held at the Broadway MB Church in Chilliwack, BC on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 3:00 pm.

  

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 3:00 pm from the Church Of The Open Bible, Swift Current, Sask.

I know who will be meeting me there

and it is exciting!”
