Name: Carolyn Zacharias

Passed away: March 11, 2008

Carolyn Ann Zacharias ~ Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend.

Carolyn Zacharias (nee Morgan) passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Monday, March 11, 2008, at the University Hospital, Edmonton, AB, with her husband, Wayne, and her sister-in-law, Colleen, by her side. Carolyn was born on May 14, 1945 at Gull Lake, SK to William C. & Lillian A. Morgan. She was raised and took her schooling at Gull Lake. She married Wayne D. Zacharias on October 18, 1963 and they took up residence in Ontario. Throughout her married life Carolyn & Wayne relocated to locations in Nova Scotia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. They moved to Swift Current in June 2006 to retire and be closer to family and old friends. Her fondest wish was to have a permanent place for her sons to call home. Carolyn’s hobbies included reading, needlework, sewing and ceramics. She loved to paint still-life pictures, especially flowers, at which she became very proficient. She also especially enjoyed spending time with family and having coffee with friends.

Carolyn leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Wayne Zacharias, Swift Current, SK; her sons, Brent Zacharias, Glencairn, ONT and Michael Zacharias, LaRonge, SK; her grandchildren, Brett and Dawson; her sisters, Rosalie Marshall, White Bear, SK and Sylvia Fifield, Saskatoon, SK; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her father, William Morgan, 1984; her mother, Lillian Morgan, 1993; and by her brother, Farrell Morgan, 2002. Carolyn will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at 3:00 pm from the Fairview Bible Church, Swift Current, Sask. With Pastor’s Ray & Sylvia Friesen officiating. For those wishing, donations to the The Lung Association of Saskatchewan, would be appreciated by the family. Swift Current Funeral Home was in care of arrangements.
