Welcome to the memorial page for

Anna Fehr

September 29, 2015

Fehr, Anna: age 84, of Swift Current, SK, passed away peacefully at her home, on Tuesday, September 29, 2015, with her family at her bedside. Mom was born in the Saskatoon area on December 15, 1930. She married George Fehr on November 30, 1952. Mom was never employed outside the home but devoted her time to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took time providing for her family by planting and paying careful attention to her large garden and cooking delicious meals for them. In later years, she was a gentle, caring babysitter for her 2 grandchildren, often singing to them and teaching them about God’s love.

She lost the love of her life when her husband, George, passed away on October 19, 2002. After he passed away, she filled her days listening to her favorite Christian programming on the radio, studying her Bible, and praying for her loved ones, especially her family. She was always praying that her children and grandchildren would walk with God. After Dad’s passing, Eva became her full time caretaker and they spent the last 15 years becoming best friends. They had fun together and also had serious talks. Eva was not only her daughter, but her best friend and nurse, lovingly tending to her every need. Mom waited longingly for Ernest & Janet to stop in for a cup of coffee and a visit. She loved the times spent with her grandkids. She enjoyed her visits with Donovan & Paige and the times when Kaitlyn & Derek would come and sing some hymns with her. In the last year she loved her visits from Eileen and welcomed her as an added daughter. She also made a lot of friendships with the loving Home Care nurses that came to take care of her. Mom was predeceased by all of her siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Eva Fehr, Swift Current, SK; her son, Ernest (Janet) Fehr, Rosenhof, SK; her grandson, Donovan (Paige) Fehr, Gravelbourg, SK; her granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Derek) Neustaeter, Swift Current, SK; and special “daughter”, Eileen Koethler, Swift Current, SK.

The Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 5, 2015, at 2:00 pm from the Fairview Bible Church, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Daniel Butt officiating. The pianist for the service was Jean Johnston. “Safe in the Arms of Jesus” and “In the Sweet By and By” were sung by the congregation under the direction of Dave Fehr. The obituary was read by Donovan & Paige Fehr.  Special music was brought by Kaitlyn & Derek Neustaeter singing, “The River”. Tributes were shared by Donovan & Paige Fehr on behalf of Donovan, Kaitlyn, and Eva. The ushers in the church were Jake Heinrichs and Gordon Johnston. The Interment was held at the Rosenhof Cemetery with Ernest Fehr, Janet Fehr, Donovan Fehr, Paige Fehr, Kaitlyn Neustaeter, and Derek Neustaeter serving as pallbearers.
