Annie Janzen

March 12, 2016

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annie (Wall) Janzen, age 88. She peacefully went to be with the Lord at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility with her family by her side. Annie was born on February 2, 1928 to George & Anna Wall and grew up in Rosenhof, SK. She was baptized at age 18. Proverbs 3: 5-6 were a comfort to her, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths.” Annie was united in marriage to Jacob Janzen on October 6, 1946. They were blessed with five sons and one daughter. Annie was a loving mother and grandmother, she loved her family with all her heart. She was a long standing member of the Fairview Bible Church. Mom worked very hard to provide for the family, she worked many years at the K Motel as a cook. Annie spent seven years taking care of her husband, Jake, as he battled cancer. She had many health issues of her own, including a heart condition and diabetes. Annie leaves to cherish her memory to her children, George (Martha) of Clive, AB, Henry of Moose Jaw, SK, John (Tina) of La Crete, AB, Ernie of Swift Current, SK, Maryann of Port Alberni, BC, and Jake (Lena) of Swift Current, SK; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her two sisters, Mary (Jake) Friesen and Eva (Isaac) Janzen; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Janzen; her parents, George & Anna Wall; two grandchildren; and by many in-laws. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Annie Janzen is now “Safe in the Arms of Jesus.” The Funeral Service was held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm from the Fairview Bible Church, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Daniel J. Butt officiating. The musicians for the service were Henry & Vivian Thiessen. “Amazing Grace”, “Under His Wings” and “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” were sung by the congregation. The eulogy was shared by the family with the grandchildren providing the special music. The usher in the church was Jake Hildebrandt. The Interment Service was held at the Rhineland Cemetery, Rhineland, SK with the Grandchildren serving as pallbearers. In memory of Annie Janzen, donations made to the Fairview Bible Church or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
