Benny Wiebe

Ben Wiebe, age 88, passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at the Herbert & District Integrated Health Facility, Herbert, SK. Ben Paul Wiebe was born February 17, 1928 in Herbert to David & Agnes Wiebe — the seventh of eleven children. He grew up on the family farm in the Rosefarm School District. In 1966, he married Lena Wiebe of Swift Current, SK. They lived in Alberta for most of their married life where he worked on various farms as well as for the Town of Clairesholm and the City of Lethbridge. Lena passed away September 22, 1993 leaving Ben totally lost. In 2012, Ben moved into the Herbert Manor where he received excellent care. Ben was predeceased by his wife, Lena Wiebe; his parents, David & Agnes Wiebe; his siblings, John Wiebe, Dan Wiebe, David Wiebe, and Agnes Wiebe; his sisters and their husbands, Tena (Willie) McLaughlan, Anne (Isaac) Dyck, and Olga (Jack) Klassen; his brother-in-law, Isaac Wiebe; and by several nieces and nephews. Ben is survived by his siblings, Hulda Wiebe, Selma (John) Rempel, and Jake (Mary Lee) Wiebe; his sisters-in-law, Anne Wiebe, Velma Wiebe, and Claudette Wiebe; and by many nieces and nephews. 

The Funeral Service for Mr. Benny Wiebe of Herbert, will took place on Monday, January 23 at 2:00 pm from the Living Faith Fellowship Church in Herbert with Pastor Lincoln Vellacott officiating. In Memory of Benny Wiebe, donations to the Herbert Heritage Manor would be appreciated by the family.
