Donna Erickson

Donna May Erickson passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK, at the age of 57 years, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Donna is survived by her husband, Trevor Erickson; her son, Desmond Weinberger; her granddaughter, Zoe; her sister, Isabelle Adams-Modien; and by her nieces and nephews. Donna was predeceased by her first husband, Barry Weinberger; her parents, John Larocque & Rosie Adams; and by her brother, Peno Adams. Donna touched the hearts of everyone she met with her positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor. She is famous for the beautiful knitted afghans that she made throughout the years, probably everyone in her extended families has at least one, and she even made them for friends and acquaintances who loved them. She loved her dogs (Buster, Rocky and Moca) and cats, going fishing and just relaxing at home. She was very grateful for the loving care she received and many friends she made during her hospital care centre stay. Donna will be missed by all who knew her.

The Memorial Service for Donna Erickson was held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 4:00 pm from the Swift Current Funeral Home Chapel, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Matthew Erickson officiating. “Wings of an Angel” and “May the Road Rise Up to Meet You” were given as special music by David Hagel and Paulette Hadden. A Private Interment Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or tributes, memorial donations made to The Meadows (c/o Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation)would be appreciated by the family.
