Hazel Lyne

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our grandmother, Hazel Lyne, age 96, on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility - Long Term Care. Hazel was born on March 13, 1918, in the District of Morse, SK, to Edward & Bertha (Dokken) Jacobson. She was the 5th youngest of 10 children. She spent most of her life in the Niedpath and Herbert area. Hazel loved to cook, sew, garden and spend time with her family and friends. Hazel was predeceased by her husband, Arthur (Art) Lyne; her daughter, Lorraine; her sons, Ernest, Raymond and Gary; a grandson, David; her sisters, Anna, Evelyn, Irene, Ruth and Bertha; and by her brothers, Elder, Orin, and Edward. She leaves to cherish her memory her grandchildren, Brenda (Alf) Leimert, Linda Martin, all of Kelowna, BC, Ernie (Nikki) Lyne of Bonniville, AB, Debbie Bradford (Allan Palik), Lori Dawkins, Art (Kathy) Exner, all of Regina, SK, Dawnna Lyne of Medicine Hat, AB; her great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; her sister, Lillian of Medicine Hat, AB; and her special friends, Tom Plumpton (Kathie Gallaher) Herbert, SK. Hazels family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the most amazing care given to our grandmother at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility - Long Term Care.

The Funeral Service for Mrs. Hazel Lyne of Herbert took place on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:00 a.m., from the St. Olaf Church with Pastor Linda Hall officiating.

The Interment Service was be held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park.
