Herman Wall

Wall, Herman, age 87, passed away from cancer on Friday, July 10, 2015 at the Cypress House, Swift Current, SK. Herman was born on June 16, 1928, in the Dunelm District, to Heinrick & Maria Wall. Herman and Rita Maruska were married on December 13, 1973. He was the owner/operator of Wall’s Transfer and retired when he was 85. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed the challenges that came along with it…like moving fridges that were too big for the doorway and removing the fridge door so that it would get through, or moving heavy pianos. Herman had a good sense of humor and loved to tell jokes and riddles. He was also a great pool player and enjoyed playing guitar and singing. Herman & Rita lived in their house until February 2015 when illness forced them to move to Cypress House where they could receive good care. Herman was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Rita; his children and grandchildren, Keith & Mary Wall (Cody, Sierra) of Saskatoon, SK: Judy Hardement (Jenny & Aron, Theresa, Stephanie & Chris) of Edmonton, AB: Randy & Terry Wall (Naomi, Melissa, Levi, Ransom, Liberty) of Calgary, AB; his great-grandchildren, Adam, Violet, Elysia, Veronica, Kaiah, Grace; his brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Wall of Swift Current, SK, John Wall of Medicine Hat, AB; his sisters, Tina Wiebe of Abbotsford, BC, Helen Dyck of Brooks, AB, Elizabeth Dyck of Swift Current, SK; numerous nieces and nephews; and by a brother-in-law, Johnny & Ellen Maruska and their children, Sheila Maruska, Laurie (Mike), Debra (Rick), Janice Maruska, Darren (Michelle), Kirk (Jody) and all their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Heinrick & Maria Wall; by 8 siblings, Henry Wall, Jake Wall, Mary Braun, Anne Kehler, Agnes Harder, Margaret Dyck, Eva Braun; and by numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.

At Herman’s request, there will be no Funeral Service.
