Welcome to the memorial page for

Jason Gerbrandt

March 5, 2015

Jason Douglas Gerbrandt, age 18, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the General Hospital, Regina, SK. Jason was born on June 20, 1996, at the Swift Current Union Hospital, Swift Current, SK to Charles & Tracey Gerbrandt. At a young age, Jason was diagnosed with Autism. He attended the Waldeck School and the Swift Current Comprehensive High School. Jason loved school, his friends and his teachers. He was very independent and did all the paper shredding for the classroom. While he was shredding he sometimes got a little nosey…a little shredding and a lot of eavesdropping. He also loved to go swimming and bowling with his classmates. Jason was a master of the computer and loved to u-tube at school and at Grandma & Grandpa Parkers. He always had a hi-five for everyone he knew, or a thumbs-up, meaning a good job done! Jason loved his old-time Rock ‘n Roll, he never talked much but he tried to sing all the words while playing the air guitar, piano and drums…you could see the joy in his face. He was also a master of the remote control…no one was allowed to touch the remote. Jason loved going to the movies with his brother, Dustin, and then a must was to buy the video of the movie. Jason gave unconditional love to his family, friends and animals. He will be missed by all who knew him. Jason leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Charles & Tracey Gerbrandt; his brother, Dustin Parker; his grandparents, Ann Gerbrandt of Swift Current, SK, Elaine & Gordon Parker of Medicine Hat, AB: his great-grandma, Fanny Guckert of Medicine Hat, AB; his uncles, aunts and cousins, Harold & Monica Gerbrandt of Waldeck, SK and their children, Danica & Russell Goodall, Juanita & Christian Haehnel (Emmy) and Andrew: Garry & Christine Gerbrandt of Swift Current, SK and their children, Kimberley & Nick Giesbrecht (Rudy) and Ryan: Verna & John Barabe of Emerald Park, SK and their children, Madison & Dalton (friend), Alexandra, Mitchell and Conner: Sharon Forget of Saskatoon, SK and her children, Kalista (Rhylee) and Keely: Shannon & John Carleton of Swift Current, SK and their children, Tiffany and Trisha: Cam & Christine Parker of Camrose, AB and their children, Bryanna and Sierra. He was predeceased by sister, Morgan Gerbrandt, April 2007; his grandfather, Archie Gerbrandt, December 2006; and by his great-grandpa, Jack Guckert, 2010.
