Joyce Audrey (Anderson) Engen, born October 24, 1938 of Regina, SK, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 4, 2018. In death, she was reunited with her parents, Christense and Didrick Anderson; her husband, Leslie Engen; and her son-in-law, Vladimir Stojkovich. Joyce will be missed by her seven children, Gaylene (Glen) Little, Leslie (Joanne) Engen, Valerie (Dan) Wesley, Derrick (Kim) Engen, Philip (Gwen) Engen, Tara Stojkovich, and Tania Brown; her eighteen grandchildren, Sydney (Brandon), Alexandrea (Eric), Mackenzie, Hannah, Halle, Chanyn, Krysta (Chris), Eric, Renee, Jairdin, Seth, Caleb, Vladimir, Kristjana, Zephaniah, Zayin, Elya, and Kyan; her seven great-grandchildren: Lucy, Natalie, Millie, Gabe, Lila, Quinn, Jack; her sisters, Marilyn (Ray) Scheske and Doreen (Neil) Tamlin; her sister-in-law, Sylvia (Hans) Espe; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
The only thing more important to Joyce than family was her relationship with Jesus Christ. This was evidenced throughout her entire life by her unconditional acceptance of friends and strangers alike. She was always ready with a listening ear, a place to stay, and fresh cinnamon buns. Anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her will remember her beautiful smile and quick wit. The family would like to thank the staff at William Albert House for the loving care Mom has received over the past four years.
In memory of Joyce Engen, donations made to Gideons International, Voice of the Martyrs, International Justice Mission, Saskatchewan Pro-Life, Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute, and Simmie Bible Camp would be appreciated by the family.
