Katherina "Kaye" Giesbrecht

Katherina (Kaye) Giesbrecht, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, SK. Kaye was born on July 26, 1928 in Rosenort, SK to Bernard & Susanna (Dyck) Penner, the second youngest of thirteen children. On February 23, 1954 Kaye married John Giesbrecht, and they shared 62 years of marriage. This union was blessed with six children. Kaye leaves to cherish her memory her husband, John; her family, Carol (Murray) Goertzen – Mike (Jolene) Giesbrecht, Lisa (Dean) Bredahl, Brad Goertzen: Sherry (Andrew) McGowan – Adam McGowan, Micah McGowan: Victor (Char) Giesbrecht – Shantel (Kyle) Ottenbreit, Tiffany (Raymond) Marsolais, Daniel (Nichole) Giesbrecht: Peggy (Rob) Taylor – Mathew Taylor , Cody Taylor: Rose (Eddie) Chau -Corbin (Kirsten) Chau, Connor (Larissa) Chau: Wendy (Trent) McColl – Kudra McColl; her eleven great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Anna Dyck; two brothers-in-law, Abe Giesbrecht and Dave (Kaye) Giesbrecht; and by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Bernard & Susanna Penner; her siblings, John (Anna) Penner, Ben Penner, Mary (Paul) Reznechenko, Susie (John) Thiessen, Bill (Susie) Penner, Jake (Tina) Penner, Helen (George) Froese, Ann (John) Klassen, Corney Penner, Dave (Gertie) Penner and two sisters in infancy; two brothers-in-law, Pete (Irene) Giesbrecht, Frank Dyck; and by one sister-in-law, Velma Giesbrecht.The Funeral Service for Mrs. Katharina “Kaye” Giesbrecht of Swift Current, will take place on Monday, September 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Trailview Alliance Church in Swift Current with Pastor Mike Smart officiating.

The Interment Service for Kaye Giesbrecht was held at the Rosenort Cemetery.

The Funeral Service was held on at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 26, 2016 at Trailview Alliance Church with Pastor Mike Smart officiating.
