Luella Sanders

Luella Marie Sanders, age 81, of Swift Current, SK, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Luella was born on July 6, 1935 to Peter & Anne Hiebert in Chaplin, SK, where she also attended school. On October 10, 1952 Luella married Walter John Sanders, and they farmed together for several years in the Uren district. After Walter passed away in 2000, Luella moved to Swift Current. Luella will be remembered by her friends and family for her hospitality, and her kind and generous heart. Luella leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Jennifer Penna (Dale Craftchick), Debra (Dale) Hallborg, and Anita Sanders; a daughter-in-law, Marylin Sanders; her grandchildren, Laurie Plante, April Sanders, Chris Hallborg, Jill Hallborg, Dustin Penna and Scott Sanders; her step-grandchildren, Carlee and Cole Craftchick; her nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Dale (Helen) Hiebert; her sister, Rose Drake; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Sanders; her son, Kenneth Sanders; her parents, Peter & Anne Hiebert; her sisters, Marlene Hughes and Joan O’Brian; and by her brothers, Irvine Hiebert and Gordon Hiebert. Luella will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

The Memorial Service for Mrs. Luella Sanders of Swift Current took place on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Swift Current with Keith Sparks officiating.
