Mildred Irene Reimche, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at The Meadows in Swift Current. She was born on the family farm near Melaval, SK, in 1932 to Hazel (Horning) and William James Irwin. She attended Castlemore and Melaval schools.
She married William Reimche in 1953. They farmed near Woodrow, then lived in Thunder Creek and in Wymark before moving to Swift Current in 1967.
Mildred leaves to cherish her memory their four children: Susan (Bill) Fehr, Laurel Reimche (Scott Miller), Kevin Reimche and Glenn Reimche, as well as her sisters Leona McNeil and Doreen Stenhouse and her brother Allen Irwin. She was predeceased by her husband Bill, brothers Leonard and Kenneth, and her sisters Eunice Nolin and Shirley Bastedo.
She will be greatly missed.
The Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 11, 2018, from the Zion Mennonite Church at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Lois Bukar officiating. “I Know Not Why God’s Wondrous Love”, “In the Bulb There is a Flower”, and “When Peace Like a River” were sung by the congregation. The obituary was read by Laurel Reimche. The interment service was held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Bill Fehr, Scott Miller, and Glen Reimche serving as pallbearers. In memory of Mildred Reimche, donations to the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation, long term care, or to The Meadows Auxiliary would be greatly appreciated by the family.
