Victoria Boyer

On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 Victoria Charlotte Boyer (nee Andreas), beloved wife, precious daughter, loving sister, and dear friend was called Home by the Lord during a vehicle accident on the #4 Highway, South of Swift Current, SK. On August 19, 1992 Jerry & Kathy Andreas were blessed with the arrival of a beautiful girl that we would all know as Victoria. From the day she was born, until the day the Lord called her Home, Victoria was a light that impacted the life of each person she met. And though she is with Jesus now, Victoria’s life continues to impact the lives of those who knew her. Victoria grew up in the Swift Current and Waldeck area. She attended Central School, Waldeck Elementary and Jr. High School, and the Swift Current Comprehensive High School. Immediately after graduation, she went to Millar College of the bible in Pambrun, SK for one year. She then attended Red Deer College and Northern Institute of Massage Therapy (RMT) certificate. On August 23, 2014 Victoria married Brian Boyer on the Andreas family farm near Waldeck, SK. Brian was the love of her life, and she in turn, was the love of his. Both the Andreas and Boyer families welcomed the new addition to their families with joy. Across the years, Victoria was involved in competitive swimming as both a swimmer (Swift Current Stingrays) and coach (Swift Current Special Olympic Swim Team). Rare was the weekend swim meet when Victoria would not come home with a medal of some sort. It was her love for competitive swimming and for people that led her to be a part of the Special Olympics swim team as a coach. She loved her swimmers and would often come home with stories about how well they were advancing in both technique and speed. Victoria was also one who loved to learn. Over the past couple of years, she had been teaching herself Spanish through apps on her phone, songs, and reading a Spanish Bible. Many who knew Victoria first met her through either the grain vac business or the massage clinic. She loved working in these industries because it was an opportunity to bless each person with whom she came into contact. Whether it was helping move a person’s grain or fixing their body pain, Victoria always sought to make others’ lives easier. Victoria loved collecting outhouse paraphernalia and would be considered a person who lived her life through movie quotes. She never found reason to go along with the crowd and instead chose to march to the beat of her own drum. She was always bringing a smile to the faces of the ones she loved while blessing others with her own. Most importantly, Victoria was a woman of faith. She gave her life to Jesus at a young age and grew into the mature woman of God that we all knew her to be. There was never a shadow of a doubt where she stood when it came to her faith in Christ, and because of this, there is not a shadow of a doubt that she is alive with Him in Heaven now! She was an avid Bible reader, friend to many, and a faithful servant of God. On the inside cover of the blue Bible that she took with her wherever she went, she had written out the following Bible verses — Romans 10:9-10 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead. You will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” These verses exemplified her life, and it was her desire that each person with whom she came into contact would experience the truth and love of Jesus Christ through her, and would come to faith in Him. Victoria’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Brian Boyer; her parents, Jerry & Kathy Andreas; her brother, Jerred Andreas; her parents-in-law, Nolin & Vivien Boyer; her brothers-in-law, Wyatt Boyer and Ivan (Brittany) Boyer; her niece, Brooklyn Boyer; her grandparents; her aunts and uncles; her cousins; and by her friends. Both the Andreas and Boyer families would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who have come around them in this time of sorrow and supported them through prayer, visits, cards, food, flowers, etc. Victoria will be greatly missed, but we do not say goodbye. Instead, we look forward to saying hello. The Celebration of Life Service for Victoria Boyer was held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm from East Side Church of God, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Dave Smith officiating. “10,000 Reasons,” “In Christ Alone,” “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus,” and “Amazing Grace” were sung by the congregation under the leadership of Dave Smith. Victoria’s Life Story was shared by Kelsey Adam. Tributes were given by Kirstie Haugan, Kayla Dyck, and Brittany Materi. A photo presentation was given by Cailin Ekstrand. The ushers in the church were Dean Bablitz, Troy Kruk, Harv Martinez, Ernie Camphaug, Lindsey Kelsey, Kale Camphaug, and Garry Moen. Honorary Pallbearers were Kirstie Haugan, Kayla Dyck, Lonnie Hunter, Dale Buckingham, Nathan Janzen, Cole Bablitz, Lori Kruk, Kim Wilson, and Cadence Smith. The Private Interment Service will be held from the family farm at a later date. In memory of Victoria Boyer, donations made to the East Side Church of God – Benevolence Fund to assist a specific, but unnamed family would be appreciated by the family (Box 487 Swift Current, SK S9H 3W3, please specify “In Victoria’s memory,” no tax receipts can be issued).
