William "Bill" Reimche

William Reimche, age 87, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2016, at the Swift Current Care Centre, Swift Current, SK. William “Bill” was born on January 22, 1928, in Woodrow, SK, the youngest child of Lydia (Baumbach) & Thomas Reimche. Bill leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 62 years, Mildred (Irwin); and their children, Susan (Bill) Fehr, Laurel (Scott Miller), Kevin Reimche and Glenn Reimche; his sister-in-law, Irene (Arthur) Reimche; and numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He was predeceased by his nine siblings: Elmer, Arthur, Mabel, Wilfred, Ruby, Leo, Mervyn, Alice and Helen.

The Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at 2:00 pm from the Zion Mennonite Church, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Herman Wiebe officiating. The musician for the service was Grace Funk. “I Know Not Why God’s Wondrous Love”, “In the Bulb there is a Flower” and “When Peace Like a River” were sung by the congregation. The obituary and tribute was shared by Laurel Reimche. A special scripture from Psalm 121 and a poem “Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night” (by Dylan Thomas) were read by Scott Miller. The Interment Service was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with the following serving as pallbearers, Bob Reimche, Bill Reimche, Janet Benson, Reg Reimche, Bill Fehr and Scott Miller. In memory of Bill Reimche, donations made to the Dr. Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation - long term care, would be appreciated by the family.
