Aaron Randall David Heinrichs, age 35, of Waldeck, SK, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Swift Current, SK.
Aaron will be dearly missed by his parents, Harry & Marlene Heinrichs of Swift Current; his brother, Randy (Jessica) Heinrichs – their children, Kimber and Jace; his special friend, Jenny Ganseco – her son, Miguel; his dog and best friend, Coco; as well as by several uncles, aunts, cousins and his community of friends.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, John & Sarah Heinrichs, and David & May Pearson.
Aaron was born on September 30, 1984 at the Swift Current Regional Hospital. Aaron’s first job was with Trent Sims and Stan Anderson working as a farm hand. In 2005, he started working for Batco AGI as a painter. After he finished his day at Batco, he went to work for Graham MacKenzie at Max Machine Shop. He really enjoyed working for Graham as he was able to work on rebuilding engines. Aaron never received any formal education in mechanics but could take apart an engine and put it back together. He could solve almost any issue an engine may have. His keen interest in mechanics along with a great mentor like Graham MacKenzie helped him to be the mechanic that he was.
In 2013, Aaron purchased his first home in Waldeck. He really wanted this particular home because it was where he grew up. But one thing he felt the property was missing was a shop in his backyard. Restoring vehicles was his hobby and he needed a place to do that. So, he built himself a shop and equipped it with all he needed for his hobby. One of his projects was a white 1981 Trans Am. He rebuilt this car with a 383 stroker engine, put on wide racing tires and raced in the Swift Current Drag Races a couple of times. His latest project was a 1998 Chevy short box. He completed some body work on this truck and put in a 411 small block engine which he rebuilt. I’m sure those of you who are on Facebook have seen pictures he shared on his progress with this project. We will miss you, Aaron. Rest in peace.
The Funeral Service for Aaron Heinrichs was held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 2:00 pm from St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Swift Current, SK, with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. “Old Rugged Cross” and “In the Garden” were sung by the congregation. The eulogy was shared by Jeanette Pearson and Crystal Wagner. The musical selection, “Dixie” by Dwight Yoakam was played for special music. The Interment Service was held at the Beechy Cemetery, Beechy, SK with Randy Heinrichs, Todd Cornelson, Dakota Cornelson, Travis Pearson, Cale Major, and Chris Dumont serving as pallbearers.
