Audrey Wiebe, age 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility, Herbert, SK with her family by her side. Audrey was born January 20, 1941 in Herbert — the eleventh child of Cornelius & Marie Wiebe of the Glenn Kerr District, SK. She attended Pony Butte School District as a child, then furthered her adult education as a Health Care Aide. Audrey was a long-term employee of the Cypress Hills Health Region and continued to work beyond retirement. Audrey found ways to express her creativity through sewing, scrapbooking, paper tole, wheat weaving, baking buns and pastries, card making, crocheting, knitting, and most recently, learning to quilt. She was a pillar in her community and was known for her impeccable landscaping.
Audrey is survived by her daughters, Angela (Brian Ford) Wiebe, Allison (Warren) Biberdorf, and Adrienne (Jesse Dreschler) Wiebe; her nine grandchildren, Kyle, Evan, Emma, Benjamin, Jesse, Avry, Nicholas, Sequoyah, and Blake; her brothers and sisters, Corney (Helen) Wiebe, Marie Penner, Betty Friesen, Leona (Otto) Friesen, Edna Friesen, Edwin Wiebe, Erin Wiebe, Elmer Wiebe, and Leonard Wiebe; and by her nieces and nephews. Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Cornelius & Marie Wiebe; her siblings, Erwin Wiebe, Margaret Tyberg, and Agnes Wiebe; and by her brothers and sister-in-law, Pete Penner, Jerry Tyberg, and Ann Wiebe.
Mom left her mark on everyone who knew and loved her. She had an amazing zest for life which was obvious by her unique sense of humor and incredible smile. Mom faced challenges in her life with strength and perseverance. With help from God, mom was able to raise three young girls into strong, independent women who love God.
