Bonifacio “Boni” Gonzales, age 61, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK with his family by his side. Bonifacio Moran Gonzales was born October 26, 1956 to Resurrecion & Celedonia Gonzales in Iriga City, Philippines. Boni is survived by his wife, Caridad Gonzales; his children, Bobby Rex (Riza) Gonzales and Jason Rex Gonzales; his grandchildren, Liam and Xia Gonzales; his siblings, Ramon (Rosie) Gonzales, Aurora (Lando) Orola, Lydia (Oscar) Granadillos, Esther (Lito) Castroverde, Elena (Vic) Gardner, Benito (Jean) Gonazales, Nancy Agravante, Gina (Dan) Ruest, Elma (Clint) Bennett; and by his numerous nieces and nephews. Boni was predeceased by his parents, Resurrecion & Celedonia Gonzales; his sister, Maria Quedif; and by his brother-in-law, Jhon Agravante.
Boni enjoyed visiting and fellowship with his family and friends. He worked as a Service Technician at Robertson Rentals for almost seven years. Boni loved the outdoors — traveling, gardening, camping, and fishing (even when he came home empty handed). Boni was very kind, and willing to help anyone in need — his life especially shone when in service at his church. Boni will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. The family wishes to sincerely thank everyone for attending this service and offering their support. Your thoughtfulness is appreciated, and will always be remembered.
The Funeral Service for Bonifacio “Boni” Gonzales was held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Church of the Open Bible, Swift Current, SK with Pastor Rob Cochrane and Pastor Josiah Boyd officiating. “Ten Thousand Reasons,” “Forever Reign,” “Power of Your Love,” and “This is My Desire” were sung by the congregation, with Wendy Cochrane serving as pianist. Special music was brought by the Filipino worship team. Tributes were given by Bobby Rex Gonzales and Jason Rex Gonzales. The ushers in the church were Maybel Elevado, Maricar Garcia, Jennifer Demesa, Raquel Spence, Mary Jane Gonzales, & Jingky Loveranes. The Interment Service was held from Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Benito Gonzales, Vic Gardner, Dan Ruest, Michael Orola, Alan Granadillos, and Jeric Gonzales serving as Pallbearers. In memory of Bonifacio “Boni” Gonzales, donations made to help cover Medical and Funeral costs would be appreciated by the family.
