Carl Klein

June 19, 1933 ~ July 24, 2019 (age 86)

It is with great sadness the family of Carl Robert Klein, age 86, announce his passing on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Clover House, Swift Current, SK.

The Prayer Service for Mr. Carl Klein will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 8:00 pm from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Swift Current, SK.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 2:00 pm from the Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, Swift Current, SK with Rev. Msgr. Reymundo Asis serving as celebrant. Honorary Pallbearers are Carl’s grandchildren, Quinten Starko, Veronica Starko, Beriah Klein, Melina Klein, Reese Klein, and Archer Klein, and all those who knew and loved Carl. In memory of Carl Klein, donations to the Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation would be appreciated by the family. 

Carl is survived by his wife, Margaret Klein (nee Wingerter); his sons, Wayne (Lynn) Klein and Scott (Kimberley) Klein, and their children, Beriah, Melina, Reese, and Archer; his daughter, Lauren Starko, and her children, Quinten and Veronica; and by nieces and nephews. Carl was predeceased by his parents, Otto & LaNettie Klein; his sisters, Evalyn (Sam) Johnston and Mona (Bill) Thingvold; his parents-in-law, Valentine & Anne Wingerter; his brothers-in-law, Joe (Rosemary) Wingerter and Leo (Dolores) Wingerter; his sister-in-law, Celine (Albert) Preboy; his nephew, Leland Wilson; and by his great-niece, Samantha Farago.

Carl had a passion for farming, having been involved in it from an early age. He also served on the North Admiral Telephone Company Board, the Admiral Co-op Board, and the Shaunavon Hospital Board when he was a councilor for the R.M. of Wise Creek.
