Clara Dickie

Clara Dickie, age 93, passed away in her sleep on Friday, November 17, 2017 at the Meadows, Swift Current, SK. Clara Signe Dickie was born September 3, 1924 to Ole & Gunhild Sondrol in the Fosterton District, SK. She was united in marriage to Jack Dickie on October 31, 1946. Clara liked to have her family and friends over for coffee and goodies, or a home cooked meal — she was a wonderful hostess. Clara was involved in her community, whether in Battrum or Pennant, with the lady’s clubs.

Family was very important to Clara, she is survived by her daughter, Orla (Jim) Noon, Medicine Hat, AB; her eight grandchildren, Corissa (Guillaume) Audren, Jeff (Tamara) Noon, Brett (Christine) Dickie, Kelly (Kelli) Dickie, Jodi Thompson, Dallas Kane, Tyler Kane, and Danny Dickie; her four great-grandchildren, Kai, Halle, and Annie Noon, and Amber Thompson. Clara was predeceased by her husband, Jack Dickie; her sons, James Dickie and Dennis Dickie; her daughter-in-law, Judy Dickie; her parents, Ole & Gunhild Sondrol; her brothers, Oscar Sondrol and Ken Sondrol, and by her infant sister, Ruth Sondrol.

A Private Graveside Service will be held in Spring 2018, with a public reception at the Pennant Senior’s Hall, Pennant, SK. Details will be announced at a later date.
