Darcy Fehr, age 56, passed away on Thursday May 17, 2018 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK. Darcy John Fehr was born January 29, 1962 in Swift Current, the eldest son and first child of five born to John N. & Betty Fehr. He attended Wymark and Begg schools before graduating from the Swift Current Comprehensive High School in 1980. He went on to complete a year at Steinbach Bible College in Steinbach, MB, then decided to get his Class 1 license and start trucking. Darcy worked for Delta Rock and Sand, Kleysen, Herscel M. Smith, Hunterline Trucking, Nowsco, Federated Co-op, and Hagman's Trucking.
He could back a B-train in faster than most guys can back a straight train. Darcy especially loved his time with the Federated Co-op in Saskatoon as he was able to truck alongside his brothers, Gregory and Gordon. As a joke, they began calling it "Fehr-derated Co-op." From there, Darcy went on to pursue his dream of farming. He moved back to Swift Current and eventually purchased the farm where he was currently living. He helped his dad with farming until the land was rented out, then he had the pleasure of farming with his cousin and childhood friend, Brent Neudorf, for the last four years. Darcy had two sons, Troy and Sean, who were the apple of his eye.
As a young man, he enjoyed hockey, judo, playing pool (snooker and eight ball), darts, and being a movie buff. Darcy will be remembered for his easy-going nature, his one-liners, and his genuine care and love for others. He would always focus on others, asking how they were doing and letting them know that he cared about them, all while down-playing his own struggles and pain. His renters never stayed "just renters," they quickly became very close friends. While Darcy’s physical heart may have been weak, his true heart was stronger than most.
Darcy is survived by his children, Troy Fehr and Sean Fehr; his mother, Betty Fehr; his siblings, Randall (Gloria) Fehr, Gregory (Sandra) Fehr, Gordon (Naomi) Fehr, and Kimberly (Samuel) Truesdale; his nieces and nephews; his uncles, aunts, and cousins; and by his friends. Darcy was predeceased by his step-son, Tyler Eckford; and by his father, John N. Fehr.

Tributes were given by Troy Fehr and Sean Fehr. The eulogy was given by Randy Fehr and Randy Neudorf. The ushers in the church were Rodney and Alden Seib. The Interment Service was held from the Schantzenfeld Sommerfeld Cemetery, Schantzenfeld, SK with Troy Fehr, Sean Fehr, Randall Fehr, Gregory Fehr, Gordon Fehr, Kimberly Truesdale, Don Mclean, and Chris Stad serving as Pallbearers.
