Ed Warren, age 82, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Kyle & District Health Centre, Kyle, SK. Edward “Ed” Morley Warren was born May 28, 1935 to Dr. Thomas Edward “T.E.” & Anne Elizabeth “Betty” Warren in Ottawa, ON. Ed received his Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK. He practiced as a Chartered Accountant in Regina, SK and then over 30 years in Calgary, AB before returning to Kyle approximately ten years ago.
Ed is survived by his partner, Arlene Warren; his son, Ted Warren (Guelph, ON); his granddaughter, Ruby Warren; his step-children and their families, Dr. Todd Hogue, Lincoln England, Dr. Josh (Susy) Hogue, and Rebecca (Sam Crow) Hogue (great-grandson, Nathaniel); and by his brother, John Warren, and his family. Ed was predeceased by his children, Dorothy Warren and Tom Warren; and by his parents, Dr. T.E. & Betty Warren.
The Graveside Service for Ed Warren of Kyle and formerly of Calgary was held on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 3:00 pm from the Horse Butte Cemetery (Kyle district) with Rev. Linda Hall officiating. A Memorial Luncheon was held following the Graveside at the Kyle Elks Hall. In memory of Ed Warren, donations made to the Kyle & District Museum would be appreciated by the family.
