Guy Beauchamp Obituary

Guy Beauchamp, age 86, of Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early morning hours of June 24, 2018 at the Meadows, Swift Current. Guy Joseph Albert Beauchamp was born August 23, 1931 to Honoré & Bertha Beauchamp in Gravelbourg, SK. The youngest of three sons, he grew up on the family farm near Frenchville, SK where he attended the Beauchamp school. He completed his education at College Mathieu in Gravelbourg and worked there from 1949 – 1951 for a couple of large farming operations. He returned to Frenchville to farm with his parents and purchased his first half-section of land in 1952 from Mrs. Bertha Lambert.

Guy married Juliette Hermine Larivière of Gravelbourg on August 2, 1956, they were blessed with the arrival of their son, Paul, on June 22, 1959. He was a hard worker and devoted his life to caring for his family and developing the family farm with crops, cattle, and horses. He was especially passionate about breeding and raising cattle, Guy developed a prize-winning herd of Maine-Anjou cattle that won numerous championships throughout Canada and two national championships in the United States. Guy loved attending cattle shows and sales, going to auctions, and attending rodeos —especially the bull riding. He was a big fan of country music and was kept company by his faithful dog, Rusty.

Guy also liked to host his own birthday parties and invited his close family and friends. Guy always believed in God and made time for prayer. Several years ago, he received Salvation and recognized that Jesus Christ was truly his Savior. He is now at peace and will be dearly missed by all.

Guy is survived by his son, Paul Beauchamp; his sister-in-law, Leona Beauchamp; his nieces and nephews; and by his extended family and friends. Guy was predeceased by his wife, Juliette Beauchamp; his father, Honoré Beauchamp (1957); his mother, Bertha (step-father, Jean-Louis) Sevard; and by his brothers, John Beauchamp and Louis Beauchamp.
