Myron Hildebrandt Obituary

Myron Hildebrandt, age 51, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home on Sunday morning, February 24, 2019. Myron Lorne Hildebrandt was born February 13, 1968 in Swift Current, SK — the youngest of four children to Henry R. & Mary (Wall) Hildebrandt. After graduating from the Swift Current Comprehensive High School he went into farming full time. In the winter months he worked at Radio Shack, Spar, furniture and carpet stores, did roofing, worked with Wiebe Contracting, and Wiens Petroleum.

Myron married Debbie Ginter on November 16, 1991 at Bridgeway Community Church. Together, they ran a successful farm and raised three amazing children — Brody, Connor, and Anissa. He loved family vacations, weekend getaways, and camping. He also loved to cook. A lifelong hockey fan, he enjoyed taking in as many games as he could, especially when it came to attending Bronco games with Anissa.

God blessed Myron with an incredible personality and a heart that showed genuine compassion and love for everyone he met — the peace and patience that only God can provide flowed through him. Whether at home with his family, in the field, around the farm, at work, at church, or in the community, Myron was always joking and had a smile on his face. He found the laughter in everything, people were drawn to him and could always count on having a good visit. Myron had a gift for forgiving people and not bearing grudges, trusting in his Sovereign Lord to watch over his life. No matter the circumstances in his life’s journey, his faith and trust in God was never shaken.

After a health scare in his 30’s that temporarily affected his mobility, he took full advantage of all that life had to offer. Whether it was running around with the kids or fulfilling a lifelong dream to learn how to drum, he didn’t want to miss a moment. He loved to drum with his band, Servant of the Word, and on worship team at church. Though we rejoice that Myron is now in the presence of Jesus Christ, whom he loved and served his entire life, we are shocked and saddened that he left us so unexpectedly. All of us who knew Myron were blessed to have him in our lives, he will be dearly missed.

Myron is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Debbie Hildebrandt; his three children, Brody, Connor, and Anissa Hildebrandt; his mother, Mary Martens; his siblings, Tammy (Harold) Langendoen, Carolynn (Brian) Penner, and Bonita (David) LaForme; his parents-in-law, Jake & Annie Ginter; his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia (Tim) Orthner and Wes (Laura) Ginter; his nieces and nephews and their families, Amy (Isaiah) Adrian, Craig (Karin) Langendoen (Emmerson, Raegan, and Nixon), Nathaniel Penner, Melissa (Duane) Reimer (Paityn, Kensie, and Natalie), Miranda (Kent) Robertson (London), Dusty (Laurie) Sauder (Eleina and Ayrton), Thomas (Jessica) Sauder (Beckett and Finley), Victoria (Zachary) Peters, Olivia (Matthew) Gerbrandt, and Michael Orthner; and by numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Myron was predeceased by his father, Henry R. Hildebrandt.
