Ray Donnelly

Raymond Donnelly, age 100, passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the Meadows, Swift Current, SK.

Raymond Leroy Donnelly was born April 11, 1919 to James & May Donnelly on the family farm near Neville, SK. Raymond married Jean Roberta Cameron on January 8, 1954 in Victoria, BC, where they moved that same year. Their marriage was blessed with two children — Bob in 1954 and Janis in 1956. The family returned to Swift Current in 1973. Raymond was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Raymond leaves to cherish his memory his children, Bob (Delores) Donnelly and Janis (Dan) Broccolo; his grandsons, Ryan (Tiffany) Donnelly, Russell (Heidi) Broccolo, Steven Broccolo, and Bradley (Erin) Broccolo; and by his great-grandchildren, Aura and Asher Donnelly, Kaitlyn Broccolo, and Brayden and Lucas Broccolo. Raymond was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Jean Donnelly, in July 1999; his parents, James & May Donnelly; and by his siblings, Edith, Ethel, Edna, Floyd, Velma, and Lonnie.

The family would like to give their sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Meadows for the care and support that Raymond received during his stay with them.

At Raymond’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. In memory of Raymond Donnelly, donations made to the Dr. Noble Irwin Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
