Robert Crown Obituary

It is with heavy hearts the family of Robert Crown, age 55, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at his home in Swift Current, SK.

Robert Everritt Lee Crown was born August 31, 1962 to Burton & Judy Crown in Langley, BC. He spent his childhood years in Port Kells, BC, where he enjoyed fishing, swimming, bike riding, building tree forts, baseball, and going on many adventures with his siblings. Robert spent his teenage and young adult years in Fort Langley, BC, where he served as a volunteer with the local Fire Department. Robert moved around to different areas lived in various towns in both Alberta and Saskatchewan. In his later years, Robert settled in the Swift Current area, where he made some wonderful friendships with Anna, Andrea, Arnold, and Pete.

Robert had a wonderful soul and was good hearted, helpful, kind, respectful, giving, and sometimes a bit stubborn. He made a difference in many of our lives and we will miss his little laugh.

Robert was predeceased by his father, Burton Everritt Crown; his grandparents, Burton & Rhea Crown and Thomas & Dorothy Patrick; and by his great-uncle and aunt, David & Flora Andrews.

Robert is survived by his mother, Judy Crown; his brother, David Crown; and by his sisters, Terry Bevan and Karen Panchuk. Uncle Robert will be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Jackie, Kelly, Randy, Jenny, Kimberly, and Alex; Great-Uncle Robert will be missed by Corbin, Rowan, Marlow, Ava, Jude, Rogan, Arwin, and the arrival of another little one in October 2018 that he was awaiting. Robert will also be missed by his many Aunts, Uncle, cousins, in-laws, Barry and Larry, extended family members, Andrew and Tasha; and by his long-time friends, especially Carl.

At Robert's request, he wanted to be cremated with no formal service. Robert loved family gatherings, laughing, joking, and sharing good memories of all his childhood days with his siblings. He also really enjoyed spending time with all his little nieces and nephews.

On Saturday, September 1, 2018 Robert’s family will be hosting a Celebration of Life in his honor at Owl's Nest Hall, 6956 - Highway 3 and 95, Cranbrook, BC. The Celebration will be an all day event, beginning at noon and going into the evening.
