Robert “Bob” Benjamin Jack Wasson was born on September 7, 1956 in Uranium City, Saskatchewan and passed away on April 16, 2019 in Herbert, Saskatchewan.
Bob began skating by the age of 3, he ate lunch with his skates on and was on the outdoor rink 24/7, and by age 6 was winning most valuable player and other trophies, out scoring everyone on all teams. Bob attended Notre Dame College on a hockey scholarship at the age of 13. He was so proud to be a Notre Dame Hound, always following their stats. As an elite hockey prospect Bob was recruited and sought after by teams across Canada, the U.S., and Germany.
Bob worked as a diamond driller, in the oilfield, logging, and in sales. He was a loyal, generous person who loved to laugh and had a keen sense of humor. Bob loved a fresh coffee, was not materialistic in any way, had an inquisitive mind and a passion for life and learning.
Bob’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He will continue to be loved and will be dearly missed by his wife, Joanne; his step-daughter, Kelli (Howard); his step-son, Brenden (Carly); his grandchildren, Denzel, Justice, Desiree, Autumn, and Tempestt; his sister, Marlene Wolkosky of La Ronge; his brother, Chad Wasson of Edmonton; his step-father, Percy Williams, and their families. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Joanne.
