Albert Ressler Obituary

Albert Ressler, age 85, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Willow Creek Manor, Swift Current, SK. Albert Frank Ressler was born August 24, 1937 in Empress, AB and raised in Mendham, SK where he was the third of five children born to John & Elinor Ressler. When he left the family home he began working in the gas industry and worked with TransCanada Pipelines across the prairies until his retirement in 1993.

Early in his career, Albert married Jean Neigum on July 16, 1962 and shortly thereafter started their family — Shelly (1963), Rick (1964), and Nancy (1970). They bought their home in Cabri, SK to enjoy retirement.

Albert loved curling, golfing, camping, and fishing. He spent many hours baiting hooks and having fish fries with his wife, kids, family, and friends of all ages. When camping season ended you could find Albert hunting geese, deer, or whatever he was drawn for, which always led up to one of his favorite pastimes — butchering. His sausage making was always a hit. Winter would find him curling, ice fishing, and traveling south to Texas, Vegas, or wherever the road took them with good friends. Albert shared many adventures over the years with all his friends and family.

During his past few years, you could find him in his favorite chair watching the Roughriders, Blue Jays, curling, and of course, CNN. Albert also enjoyed playing crib with his friends, watching Bulldog games, cherishing visits from family, and the odd trip to the Casino.

Albert will be missed by many but cherished by the fond memories he left us. Albert is back with his love, Jean.

Albert is survived by his children, Shelly (Steven) Mitchell, Rick (Cindy) Ressler, and Nancy (Phil) Beaulieu; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Colton (Clarissa) Mitchell (Kenzee and Jett), Paige Mitchell, Carmen (Krista) Ressler (Declan, Grayson and Trace), Cassie (Mathew) Stimson (Isabelle and Johnathon), Braydon (Hailey) Knittel (Gaige, Mavy, and Zoey), Danielle (David) Korven (Arleigh, Isla, and Wells), Melina Beaulieu, and Laticia Beaulieu.
