Ann Wiebe

Ann Wiebe (Fehr), age 93 years, 8 months, and 6 days of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at The Meadows.

Ann was born on January 5, 1928 on a farm in McMahon, Saskatchewan to Cornelius & Anna (Siemens) Fehr. She was a talented and independent woman whose skills ranged from cooking and baking, gardening, home improvements, but the one she excelled in the most was the loving care and devotion of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ann married our dad, Cornelius Wiebe, in 1952, and together they had five children.

Ann was predeceased by our dad, Cornelius; her mother, Anna; her father, Cornelius; her brother, Pete; three infant siblings, Susan, Sarah, and Henry; and by her son-in-law, Murray McGillivray. Ann is survived by her five children, Sharon Kidd, Donna McGillivray (Murray -predeceased), Linda Simpson (Barry), Larry Wiebe (Susan) and Shelly Campbell (Brian); her twelve grandchildren, Rheanna (Dave), Murray Scott (Lianne), David, Dani (Lance), Jesse, Eric, Stephanie, Vanessa (Colton), Daryn, Jocelyn, Bryan, and Kyle; her eight great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Ella, Claire, Layla (predeceased), Lynden, Cameron, Aubrey, and Darcy; her two sisters, Nettie (Eldon-predeceased) and Betty (Bill); and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff at House 17 in The Meadows for their compassion and exceptional level of care and personal devotion given to our mom, Ann, who was also affectionately called “gramma” by some.

The Private Family Service for Ann Wiebe was held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Swift Current Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Snyder officiating. Chosen music was “Precious Memories” by Alan Jackson. Tributes were shared by the family.

The Interment Service was held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Brian Campbell, Shelly Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Rheanna Price, Eric Wiebe and Larry Wiebe serving as Pallbearers.
