Anne Hildebrandt, age 79, passed away peacefully at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current on Sunday, June 23, 2024 with family by her side. Anne Eva Hildebrandt was born on March 2, 1945 to Henry & Agatha Froese, the youngest of 10 children. Anne attended school in Schoenfeld and enjoyed the company of many neighborhood friends. From an early age, she enjoyed helping in her dad’s store. While going for a walk on the Schoenfeld street, she met a young farmer from Blumenhof. Anne married Peter Hildebrandt on a cold Saturday in December 1961, and they made their home in Blumenhof. Anne & Pete farmed together for many years while raising their five children. Anne was an excellent homemaker and spent significant time and effort growing a large garden, canning fruits and vegetables, making jam, and baking everything from scratch. Anne was also faithfully involved in the Blumenhof Church, serving as a Sunday School teacher, singing, and on the committee of the Ladies Mission Circle. She particularly enjoyed the get-togethers of the Blumenhof ladies. In later years, Anne was involved in and faithfully attended Rhineland Christian Fellowship Church. Anne & Pete enjoyed traveling, going on many camping trips with their kids, as well as road trips to AB, BC, and Montana. They also enjoyed numerous trips to Hawaii, where they loved the warm temperatures, friendly culture, and beautiful sunsets. Anne was a wonderful Grandmother and loved to spend time with her seven grandchildren. She always looked forward to overnight visits. She also played many boardgames with the grandchildren, and frequently took them for picnics in the park. Anne’s faith was strong and unwavering. She found strength in daily devotions and prayer time with the Lord. Although quiet, Anne influenced others in a very positive way. She was an encouragement to many people. Anne loved to sing and listen to music, and she often had a song in her heart. In her final days, she was comforted by listening to hymns and worship music. Anne leaves to cherish her memory her children, Charlene McAuley, Wayne (Patti) Hildebrandt, Karen (Des) Wiens, Lori (Frank) Ward, Terilynn (Ian) Schofield; her grandchildren, Riley Wiens, Brittany Wiens, Isaac (Vanessa) McAuley, Justin Ward, Makayla Ward, Matthew Schofield, and Sean Schofield; her sister, Mary Wiebe; her brother, Abe (Barb) Froese; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter; her son-in-law, George McAuley; her parents, Henry & Agatha; and by her siblings, Henry, Helen, George, Jake, Agatha, Margaret, and Tiena.
