Anne Wall

Anne Wall, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Meadows, Swift Current, SK. Anne was born on June 15, 1936 to John H.B. & Mary Dyck in Dunelm, SK. She grew up on a farm south of Swift Current and attended school in Dunelm until grade eight. She then worked on the family farm with her brothers and sister until she met the love of her life, Peter Wall.

Anne married Peter Arthur Wall on October 5, 1958 in Schoenfeld, SK. They lived in Manitoba for few years after they were married and then moved to a farm south of Swift Current, where they raised their family. Anne excelled at motherhood and being a homemaker, her children were her pride and joy. Her soft-hearted spirit shone through as she taught her children wholesome values. She dearly loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Anne enjoyed the farm life. She was a passionate gardener and grew produce to feed her family and to generously share with others. After her children left home, Anne began babysitting. She loved working outside the home, and provided childcare for thirty children other than her own, each child was very special to her.

Anne had a strong faith and prayer life that did not waver. She was diligent at reading her Bible and sharing her faith. She had read the entire Bible twenty times using the Daily Bread guide and encouraged others to use the guide as well. Later years brought her to the Meadows, which she called home for two and a half years. She befriended the ladies in her home and watching her interact with them, it was evident that she was the storyteller, entertainer, and support for the group. Her caring and kind nature was enjoyed by the residents and staff.

Anne is survived by her children, Glen (Melva) Wall, Ken (Marilyn) Wall, Les (Vivian) Wall, Lorraine (Ken) Blaich, Larry (Eleonor) Wall, Wanda (Sean) Gordon, Brenda (Clarence) Tschetter, and Dale (Heather) Wall; her grandchildren, Michael (April) Wall, Kimberly (Steven Sawchuk) Wall, Kari (Dustin) Mathies, Kristi (Philip) Jarvis, Bradi (Jenesica Drinkwater) Wall, Brock Wall, Ava Gordon, Craig (Josilin) Tschetter, Christopher Tschetter, Dustin (Shania) Tschetter, Jaelynn (Colton) Kurtzweg, Derek (Shelby) Wall, Kelsi (Jade) Marion, and Sydney (Dalton Metcalfe) Wall; her great-grandchildren, Harper, Olivia, Barrett, Kallee, Casen, Colton, Mikayla, Layla, Kendon, Destiny, Ayden, Nevaeh, Trey, Hudson, Keaton, Paysley, Oakley, Owen, Howard, Gentry, and Kylynn; her step-grandchildren, Daryll (Lea) Chua, Christopher James (Bridgette) Chua, Trisha (Kenneth) Del Rosario, and Norvan James (Jackilyn) Chua; her step-greatgrandchildren, Marcus, Amos, Brylee, Jericho, Jordyn, and Daphne; her sister, Mary Siemens; her sisters-in-law, Linda Dyck, Anne Dyck, and Marge Friesen; her brother-in-law, Clarence Friesen; and by many nieces and nephews.

Anne was predeceased by her husband, Peter Arthur Wall; her parents, John H.B. & Mary Dyck; her brothers, Jake Dyck and John Dyck; and by her brother-in-law, John Siemens. The family would like to thank the Meadows House 6 staff for their support and care for Anne.

The Funeral Service for Anne Wall was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at 2:00 pm from Wymark EMC Church, Chortitz, SK with Pastor Paul Little officiating. “What a Friend We Have in Jesus” and “What a Day That Will Be” were sung by the congregation under the leadership of Marv & Talita Hildebrand. Special music was brought by Archie & Sylvia Neufeld. The family tribute was given by  Lorraine Blaich, the grandchildren tribute was given by Kari Mathies, Kristi Jarvis, Bradi Wall, and Brock Wall. Psalm 23 was read by Dustin Tschetter. The eulogy was given by Larry Wall. The ushers in the church were Parker Wall and Kyle Wall.

The Interment Service was held following the Funeral Service from Wymark EM Cemetery, Chortitz, SK with Brock Wall, Derek Wall, Michael Wall, Craig Tschetter, Christopher Tschetter, and Dustin Tschetter serving as Pallbearers.
