Clayton Stauber Obituary

Clayton Stauber, age 50, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 in Edmonton, AB. Clayton John Stauber was born March 2, 1968 in Swift Current, SK to Ed & Helen Stauber. He attended public school in Success, SK and graduated from the Swift Current Comprehensive High School in 1986. After finishing high school, he worked at the Husky Truck Stop pumping gas while continuing his love for the farm. It was while working at the Husky that he met the love of his life, Lori Loustel. They were married on July 15, 1987 and he became a loving father to Lyndon.

The three of them started their journey in Success before establishing their family farm in 1992. Clayton loved to farm and soon added seed cleaning to his operation. He progressed to pedigreed seed grower and built his own seed cleaning plant. In 2004, he was bit by the travel bug and enjoyed many warm vacations. He also found an appreciation of Lori’s love of sports, attending hockey games in Tampa Bay, Anaheim, and Calgary. Clayton & Lori celebrated their 30th anniversary in 2017 with a trip to Niagara Falls and Toronto, where they attended a Blue Jays game. He enjoyed spending time at the Saskatchewan Landing, camping, fishing, and golfing.

Clayton is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Lori Stauber; his father, Ed Stauber; his father-in-law, Joe Loustel; his sister-in-law, Brenda (Bud) Wall; his nephew, Jordan (Mandy) Wall; his niece, Cori (Jeff) Giesbrecht; his great-nephews, Callen and Jace Giesbrecht, and Jaxon Wall; his great-niece, Rowan Wall; and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Clayton was predeceased by his son, Lyndon; his mother, Helen Stauber; his mother-in-law, Faye Loustel; and by his grandparents.
