Curtis Heinrichs Obituary

Curtis Heinrichs, age 46, passed away at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK on Friday, October 1, 2021.

Curtis Heinrichs was born on September 27, 1975 at Regina, SK to Jack & Leona Heinrichs. He grew up in Regina and then attended IBC in Moose Jaw, where he enjoyed his time at Bible College. Curtis accepted Jesus as his Saviour at the age of 7, at youth camp. In the summer of 1995, he met Ginger Fehr at Cypress Bible Camp, where they both enjoyed working as camp counselors. Curtis and Ginger were married On June 7, 1997, and started their life together in Herbert, SK. They had three children together, Amber, Elijah and Seth. Curtis & Ginger worked together with youth and children's ministries for many years. Curtis loved the Lord and loved playing drums with the worship team nearly every Sunday. He loved nature, hunting, canoeing, and sitting around campfires.

Curtis had many jobs over the years, but his favorite was being an Education Assistant at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School, which he did for the past 16 years. To Curtis, the staff and students were like extended family.

Curtis had numerous surgeries over the years and struggled with daily pain from nerve damage. Now he is in a place where there is no more pain and no more sorrow. I can picture him walking down the streets of gold, no more limp, no more pain. Curtis found peace before he passed away. He would want you all to know how much he loved you.

Curtis always said that he wanted people to remember Jesus in him. As you remember Curtis, seek out Jesus and find comfort in Him…and remember Curtis loved you all, so, so much!
