Daniella Goebel

Daniella Goebel, age 57, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at Foyer St. Joseph, Ponteix, SK.

Daniella “Doll” Gladys Goebel was born December 14, 1964 in Melville, SK to August & Gladys (Geistlinger) Goebel. In 1971, the family moved to Outlook, SK where she attended school until grade nine. Daniella left a few years after school to work at the Ability Centre in Saskatoon, SK where she worked in the sewing section. 

In Saskatoon she met the father of her children, Phil, and they moved to BC, where he was from. Two more children, Brian and Brenda, were born but sadly, both passed away.

Daniella’s surviving daughter, Chantelle, had three boys whom Daniella loved dearly. She would do anything for her grandkids — whether it was milk, food, or a ride. She put everyone ahead of her and was a kind, giving person.

Daniella moved to Swift Current, SK in 2000 and it was there she met Herbert Loewen. They loved and supported each other as they could both relate to having a troubled past. Daniella helped Herb get a job and a driver’s license and in turn, he did everything he could for the love of his life, staying by her side until the very end.

Daniella is survived by her partner, Herb Loewen; her daughter, Chantelle; her three grandsons; her sister, Sarah (Keith) Bloye; her brothers, Daniel Goebel and Malcolm Goebel; her nieces, Bonnie, Krystina (Ray), and Samantha; her great-niece and nephew; and by her friends.

Daniella was predeceased by her children, Brian and Brenda; her father, August Goebel, in 2011; her mother, Gladys Goebel, in 2021; and by her sister-in-law, Natasha Goebel.

A private family service for Danielle Goebel will take place at a later date from Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK where she will be interred beside her parents.
