Dorothy McFadyen, age 77, passed away on April 2, 2024 at the Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK.


Dorothy Lorraine McFadyen was born on April 2, 1947 at Nokomis, SK to Gwen & Thomas Clarke. Some of her hobbies and interests were collecting salt & pepper shakers and collecting porcelain dolls. Dorothy also had a love of Elvis music and memorabilia. She loved spending her summers out at the family farm.


Throughout the years, Dorothy had numerous jobs in various Saskatchewan locations. Some of these included nurse’s aide, waitressing, and housecleaning. Before she retired, she was team leader at National Manufacturing. This was where Dorothy met the love of her life, Doug Roys, and they have been together since 1997. After retirement, Dorothy spent a few summers running a burger stand known as “Dorothy’s Place”.


Dorothy is survived by her partner, Doug Roys; her children, John (Darlene) McFadyen – Grand Banks, NFLD, James McFadyen – Dundurn, SK, Donna McFadyen – Swift Current, SK; her stepchildren, Deanna (Brent) Walker – Moose Jaw, SK and Peggy Pohl – Moose Jaw, SK; her granddaughter, Lorraine McFadyen; step-grandchildren, Ryan Pohl and Alexandria Pohl (Danton Hartman); her Mom, Gwen Clarke; her sisters, Phylis (Raymond) Lehauillier and Florence (Gary) Wilson; her brother, Edward Clarke; and by numerous relatives.
