Dwight Haviland

Dwight Haviland, age 74, of Swift Current and formerly of Aneroid passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon with his family by his side.

Dwight was born October 9, 1946 in Kincaid, SK. Dwight married Doreen (Simpson) of Aneroid, SK in 1972. During their 30+ years on the farm, Dwight enjoyed raising cattle, working for RM's, driving the school bus, and his children's activities. 

After retiring to Swift Current, Dwight enjoyed lending a hand, playing cards, and visiting with family and friends. Dwight was always anticipating the next visit from his granddaughters.

Dwight is survived by his wife, Doreen; his two children, Denelda (Curtis) Brown of Lloydminster, SK and Dean (Melissa) Haviland of Aneroid, SK; his five granddaughters, Shelby, Daci, and Paige Brown, and Levi and Layne Haviland; his brothers, Donald (Theresa) Haviland, Kenneth Haviland, and Larry Haviland; his sister, Carol (Lester) Wall; and by beloved members of his extended family.

Dwight was predeceased by his son, Darren Haviland; and by his parents, Lloyd & Elizabeth Haviland.  

In respect to Dwight’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.

In lieu of flowers and for those wishing to do so in memory of Dwight Haviland, donations made to STARS Air Ambulance, the Dr. Noble Irwin Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
