It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dylan Shea McGregor, loving husband and father.
After a long courageous battle with cancer he passed away very peacefully on November 21st 2025, just south of Tompkins, SK at the ranch where he grew up.
Dylan was born in Maple Creek, SK on May 3rd, 1982. He grew up on his great grandfather Davies’ farm, north of Tompkins until the passing of his grandfather Glenn McGregor in 1989.
The family then moved south of Tompkins to the McGregor ranch. He attended Tompkins school in his elementary and junior years, then high school in Gull Lake, SK where he graduated in 2000. Dylan attended college in Lethbridge, AB, where he took electronic and computer science. He then moved to Medicine Hat where he worked for BJ Energy and then as a fibre optic technician for Telus.
During that time Dylan met his beautiful wife Stacy and they were married on July 1st, 2011. They moved to Tompkins shortly after where he could be closer to the ranch which was his life’s passion. Dylan also continued working in the oil and gas industry at Steel Reef until his cancer diagnosis in 2024.
In 2013 Dylan and Stacy welcomed their first child Gavin Glenn McGregor, followed by their daughter Abigale Manda McGregor in 2016.
Dylan was very involved with his children’s activities. He loved to watch them play sports, and discover their own passions.
Besides ranching, Dylan’s favorite pastimes included reading, music, the outdoors (especially spending time in the McGregor coulee), camping, working on his truck (from a very young age), gaming and building computers.
He was also involved in the Tompkins community volunteering at the skating rink, the Lions club, and the volunteer fire department.
Dylan is survived by his wife Stacy, his children Gavin and Abigale; parents Ryan and Cindy McGregor; sister Brittany (Tyson) Migneault and their children Isabel, Cullen, and Everden. He is also survived by his grandmother Gwen McGregor; his uncle Garth McGregor and family; his aunt Regan (Jayson) Austin and family. As well as many more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dylan is pre-deceased by his grandfather Glenn McGregor; aunt Roxy McGregor-Robinson; and grandparents Leonard and Isabel Stewart.
