Edith Barbra Kathleen Seibel

Edith Seibel, age 91, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Cypress House in Swift Current, surrounded by her six children. Edith Barbara Kathleen (Bailey) Seibel was born on Friday, October 13, 1933 at the family farm near Thessalon, ON, to Nelson & Annie Bailey. Edith “Edie” married Alvin Seibel in 1952, and her second husband, Walter Seibel on January 2, 1953. Edie spent her life in the service of her Lord and her family. She was always busy, filling her day with things she loved to do, knitting, quilting, baking, gardening, daily walks outside, and reading, especially her Bible. For more than 35 years, Edie dedicated time each week to visiting seniors in long term care. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Edie leaves to cherish her memory her family, Alvin Seibel, Ken (Kim) Seibel, Kathy (Dave) Wallace, Gwen (Gregg), Garrison Susie (Doug), Eidem Darcy (Dianne) Seibel; her 16 grandchildren; her 30 great-grandchildren; her 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Dorothy (Gordon) Dennis and Carol Eleveld; her brothers, Bud (Brenda) Bailey and Phillip (Kay) Bailey, and many other dear relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her first husband, Alvin, in 1952; her second husband, Walter, in 1991; her grandson, Eric Seibel; her parents; by 2 sisters; her parents in-law; and by 9 sisters & brothers-in-law.
