It is with heavy hearts that her parents announce the passing of their beloved daughter, Emily Loose, age 24, who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2026 at home.
Emily Lane Loose was born on February 20, 2002 in Swift Current, SK. Emily was the light of their lives, a free spirit, social butterfly, strong willed, she would do anything for anyone, and a good hearted and one-of-a-kind young lady.
Emily attended Preschool at Central School, grade school at Waldeck, and high school at the Swift Current Comprehensive High School.
Emily loved her animals, the outdoors, archery, gopher shooting, Ludo games, and spending time with family. Working on various things in the garage with her dad was always interesting with Emily as she usually misplaced a part and then spend a couple of hours looking for it. Emily thoroughly enjoyed baking with her mom and creating some new recipes, without ever measuring. Making chokecherry and blueberry jam was a delight and she worked at perfecting this skill.
Emily’s family would like to thank Dr. Kassett and staff, and Shopper’s Drug Mart Pharmacists team. With heartfelt gratitude they would like to thank everyone for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers that have brought comfort at this difficult time. To those who have been their rock and their lifeline, words will never be enough to express their love and appreciation, and for this they are eternally grateful! Grief is always a journey to travel, and each in your own way will help them in their healing.
Nothing will ever replace the hole in our hearts, but these few things we ask in Emily’s memory: cherish your loved ones - think good thoughts - do a good deed - plant a tree - and be kind to animals.
