Erin Wiebe

Erin Wiebe, age 82, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Regina General Hospital, Regina, SK. Erin Marie Wiebe was born August 11, 1939 in Herbert, SK to Cornelius & Mary (Reimer) Wiebe. She grew up on the family farm in the Glen Kerr District with her twelve siblings.

After completing her education, Erin moved to Regina, where she worked for the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region and at the Plains Health Centre until its closing. After retirement, she returned to Swift Current, SK to be close to her family.

Erin loved taking ski trips and visiting with friends and family. She also loved to garden, sew, cross stitch, and cook.

Erin was predeceased by her parents, Cornelius & Mary Wiebe; her brothers, Corney Wiebe and Irvin Wiebe; her sisters, Marie Penner, Agnes Wiebe, Margaret Tyberg, and Audrey Wiebe; her brothers and sister-in-law, Pete Penner, Jerry Tyberg, John Friesen, and Ann Wiebe.

Erin is survived by her brothers, Elmer Wiebe, Leonard Wiebe, and Edwin Wiebe; her sisters, Betty Friesen, Leona (Otto) Friesen, and Edna Friesen; her sister-in-law, Helen Wiebe; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The Graveside Service for Erin Wiebe was held on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 3:00 pm from the Herbert Cemetery, Herbert, SK with Pastor Lincoln Vellacott officiating. Special music was brought by Pastor Lincoln & Marilyn Vellacott.

Don Gerlach, Kirk Friesen, Randall Fast, John Derksen, and Roy & Janet Hildebrandt served as Pallbearers.
