Frances Wagner, age 86, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 at the Meadows, Swift Current, SK. Frances Elsie Sadie Wagner was born February 4, 1934 to Ernest & Nora Van near Rocky Mountain House, AB. She was the third youngest of seven siblings.
On December 29, 1951 Frances married Arthur Wagner and together they raised two wonderful children — Shannon and Tracy. She worked at Medicine Hat Potteries and babysat, but being a homemaker and caring for her family were what mattered most to her. Frances was an excellent cook and baker, especially her apple pie, flapper pie, and turkey stuffing. Frances was a teacher in many ways for her kids, she taught them how to swim and made sure their homework was always done properly.
Frances & Arthur loved each other deeply and were always together, Frances would often help Arthur work on his cars. She also loved to read, do puzzles, tend her flower beds, and go out for coffee with family and friends. Her face lit up when she saw her grandchildren and her great-grandson.
Frances will be dearly missed by her children, Shannon (Bob) Heffer and Tracy (Trina) Wagner; her grandchildren, Kia (Brett Iverson) Wagner and Jessie Wagner; and by her great-grandson, Kai Iverson.
Frances was predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur Wagner, in 2014.
The Private Family Graveside Service for Frances Wagner was held on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 am from Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK with Rev. Linda Hall officiating.
