Fran Wiebe, age 92, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Herbert Integrated Health Facility, Herbert, SK.
Frances Delia Wiebe was born on August 8, 1933 on the family farm near Big Beaver, SK to Alvin & Opal Vancuren. She attended School at Prairie Centre and spent a year of High School at Caronport, SK. Fran worked in Regina for three years and then met the love of her life, Ray Wiebe, and they were married in 1956.
Fran & Ray lived on a farm near Ernfold, SK for six years, then moved back to the family farm near Herbert. In 1973 the family moved into the town of Herbert.
Fran worked at the Herbert Nursing home for many years. After retirement, Fran & Ray took numerous trips which gave them many nice memories.
Fran did a lot of volunteer work and was very involved with the New Horizons Senior group. Together, Fran & Ray spent many enjoyable years helping there.
They also spent priceless trips with their grandchildren, mostly to Cypress Hills where they had many good times together.
In 2023, Fran moved to PWE where she enjoyed many activities and outings. Fran was so excited when her friend, Alice Redekop, joined her and was soon followed by other friends, Alma Harder, Selma Redekop, Lottie Siemens, Alfred & Alvina Thiessen, Abe Voth, along with many others.
Fran is lovingly remembered by her family, Barrie (Holly) Wiebe, Bonnie Kretchmar, and Brent (Marion) Wiebe; her loving grandchildren, Starr (Jeff) Murphy, Ryan (Shauna) Kretchmar, Eries (Kristen) Kretchmar, Tia Wiebe, Tawn (Jon) Shaw, Natasha (Kyle) Letnes, Josh (Jordan) Wiebe, and Zachary (Tianna) Wiebe; and her great-grandchildren, Bryn Murphy, Addison Murphy, Bentley Kretchmar, Cyrus Kretchmar, Amy MacDougall, Dani Wiebe, Radler Wiebe, Ceder Shaw, and Emma Letnes. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Wiebe (2018); and by her son-in-law, Kris Kretchmar.
Special thanks to MaryAnne and other staff at PWE. Your kindness was greatly appreciated.
