Jack Glover, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Cabri, SK surrounded by his family after a well-fought battle with cancer on Sunday, December 19, 2021.
John “Jack” Joseph Glover was born January 22, 1946 in Edmonton, AB. After completing high school, he attended trade school to become a journeyman electrician. This took him as far north as Ray Point, NWT, all the way east to Newfoundland, south to Houston, TX, and west to Vancouver, BC. Jack retired as a consultant in his trade.
Jack & Lesley were married March 26, 1988 in Kelowna, BC. When Jack retired, they moved to Cabri in 2015 and there, he quickly became involved in the community. He volunteered wherever he was needed and was the president of the Cabri & District Lions Club from 2020 – 2021.
Jack also took up woodworking in his spare time and became quite proficient at it. There are many of his toys and models across Alberta and Saskatchewan, being enjoyed by young and old alike. He also donated a lot of his work to the Ronald McDonald House in Red Deer, AB and to local groups in Cabri and the surrounding area.
Jack is survived by his wife of 33 years, Lesley Glover; his four children and their spouses; his two step-children and their spouses; his five grandchildren; his three great-granddaughters; his brother and their spouse; his two sisters; his brothers and sister-in-law and their spouses; and by many nieces and nephews.
No formal funeral services will be held at this time.
In memory of Jack Glover and for those wishing to do so, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
