Jacob “Jack” Hoffart, age 78, of Swift Current passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025 at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK. Jack was born on March 2, 1947 at Regina, SK to Peter & Anne Hoffart. Jack married the love of his life, Mary Kuffner, on April 20, 1987. Jack received his law degree from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, SK and started practicing law in Melville, SK. Jack was a Prosecutor in Melville and Regina. He started his own practice in 1974 and retired in 2022 after 48 years in Private Practice. Jack was director on the board of Epilepsy Saskatchewan, Inc, and an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club of Swift Current. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, downhill skiing, camping, golfing, and cross stitching. He also had a great love for children of all ages. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Peter & Anne Hoffart; and by his sister & brother-in-law, Marion & Alex Resch. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Mary Hoffart; a son from his first marriage, Jack (Patty) Hoffart – Saskatoon, SK; Mary’s children, Stan (Marilyn) Lautsch – Swift Current, SK, Kevin (Lorraine) Lautsch – Regina, SK, Shellie (Doug) Bell – Regina, SK, and Brenda (John) Lawrence – Ottawa, ON; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his siblings, Maureen (Jean Anne) Blinzinger-Hoffart – Port Alberni, BC, Mel Hoffart – Herbert, SK, and Dean Hoffart – Regina, SK; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Jack will be greatly missed by his family.
