Jacob Lepp, age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre.
Jake was born on January 11, 1927 in Dominion City, MB to Aaron & Helena Lepp, a few months after the family arrived in Canada from Russia. He grew up in the Gouldtown area with his five sisters and one brother.
Jake left home at age 15 to join the work force. In 1955, he was working at the Morse Coop when he met and married Esther Hildebrand. A move to Riverhurst as a grain buyer took place in 1965 and three years later, working for Federal Grain, the family moved back to Morse. Jake retired in 1988. Jake & Esther enjoyed spending time with their group of friends, whether it was camping at Palliser Park or around the card table.
Jake was predeceased by his wife, Esther; his great-grandson, Kal-El; his parents, Aaron & Helena Lepp; his sisters, Kaye Dueck, Annie Dyck, and Suzie Fransom; and by his brother, Henry Lepp.
Jake is survived by his children, Pat (Gordon) Weinbender and Tim (Audrey) Lepp; his grandchildren, Carmen (Trevor), Chandra (Tyler), Aaron (Keli), Lauri (Dan), and Timmy (Lucy); his great-grandchildren, Emerald, Xander, Connor, Shaine, Rylee, Jacob, Christopher, Alexander, Onyx, and Oakley; his sisters, Helen Vogt and Mary Koop; and by many nieces and nephews.
