Jazmine Pope

The family of Jazmine Pope, age 19, of Swift Current, SK, are saddened to announce her unexpected passing on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Jazmine Mary Jade Pope was born on July 9, 2006 at Swift Current, SK. She was a loving soul and was always outgoing. Jazmine loved to be in the middle of everything from playing drums with Irwin School at Telemiracle to going with the Cadets to Comox, BC where she got the opportunity to swim in the Pacific Ocean, camping at Beaver Creek in Cypress Hills Provincial Park, and Maverick School activities. Jazmine loved to sing and perform in plays. She joined the Maverick School in 2020, and they all became like extended family to Jazmine. She graduated from Maverick School in 2025 but decided to return to upgrade some classes. Jazmine worked at Shopper’s Drug Mart and most recently was employed at Spring’s Garden Restaurant in Swift Current.

Jazmine leaves to mourn her passing with fond memories, her siblings, Michael and Carter, Billy and Zues; her grandparents, Carol Pope, Nathan Letkeman, and Mary Griffin; her devoted Auntie Christina Pope; her aunts, uncles, and numerous cousins and friends. Jazmine was predeceased by her parents, Shaundel Pope and Bill Malinski.
