Kenneth "Cowboy" Nechwediuk Obituary

It is with great sadness in our hearts that the family of Kenneth Metro Nechwediuk (better known as "Cowboy") announces his passing on May 24, 2020, at the age of 77.  Ken is predeceased by his Mother Anne in 1979, Father Metro in 1993 and Sister Delores in 2014. Ken is survived by his loving wife Colleen Edwards, his 'step children' Nicole Evans and Sean Lind and their extended families. He is also survived by many extended family members (Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, etc).

Up to 2006, Ken travelled around the world with the companies that he worked for.  He formed a band in the 70's/ 80's and when he wasn't working he was entertaining with his music.  Ken played drums and the accordion.  Ken also held a pilot's licence until his first heart attack in the late 80's.

Ken had a passion for life. He loved to travel, he loved being around people and he loved entertaining.  He was always ready to help a neighbor or friend in need. His knowledge of plumbing, electrical and mechanical served him well over his lifetime. His sense of humor and laughter was renowned.

However, his biggest passion in life was horses.  He started riding at a very early age; by the time he was six, he was hitching up teams of Belgians for working on the farm.  When he wasn't riding he was training people how to ride or how to drive a team, or competing.  In his later years, he only rode for pleasure.

He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Memorial Service/Celebration of life to be determined/announced at a later date.
